Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

Frank went through many hardships in his life that were not of his own making, particularly in childhood. Sometimes these unfair situations can make a person turn away from God. And yet God is the only one with enough power and compassion to carry us through hardships and suffering. In recovery, Step 3 tells us that trust in Jesus is essential to our journey from painful life to joyful life. Have you ever turned away from God in hardships? Tell how you turned back. Also, have you ever kept faith during hardships? Tell how you were able to do it.
